The scanner requires a USB connection to the computer and can be used with any third party TWAIN compliant software. The software's data extraction feature exports data as csv or txt files, which can quickly be imported into Excel. The scanner reads new licenses with holograms if it can scan at all. The device does not check if the license is fake, and it doesn't make or create cards, only scans them.
