The Yamaha C40II Classical Guitar is a great instrument for beginners with good sound quality and well-made design. It is challenging to distinguish between C40 and C40II, and the labels may not be accurate. The guitar is a full-sized classical guitar, and the fretboard is wider than any steel-string guitar. The body size of the guitar is similar to a concert/00 body steel string guitars. The soundboard is made up of laminated spruce, which is neither solid top nor laminate. The C40II has a Meranti back and sides, which distinguishes it from C40. The use of Meranti wood makes the C40II a durable guitar and better for rough use. Some customers receive the guitar with minor defects, but it does not affect the guitar's sound quality. The spacing between the strings is good, but it may not be comfortable for some users due to the wide fretboard. Overall, it's a great value for the price.
