The Cal-Van Tools 72 Amp Hound 2 is a useful tool for quick troubleshooting of electrical issues in your vehicle. Its ability to clip on to the fuse makes it an ideal tool for testing for parasitic draw without having to pull every fuse out, thereby saving time. Although this device comes with probes, some customers complained that they were of poor quality, and the probes' tips are either too wide or too narrow to fit into the contacts of some fuses. The supplied standard needle probes are too thick to fit into the plastic contact opening at the top of the fuse. Another concern customers had was the beep; it did not work in two units. If the beep worked, it would provide an audible confirmation when it's challenging to see the display under the dash, making all the difference. Tech support is pretty good, and customers spoke to a real person who understood the tool. The device comes with four connecting cables that make it easy to use.
