Margaret L. Lial , Stanley A. Salzman Mathematics Editorial Review
**** The "Basic College Mathematics 8th Edition" has garnered a largely positive response from customers, particularly those who are using it for educational purposes. Many reviewers note its effectiveness in helping to solidify foundational math skills, making it a favored resource for both home schooling and personal study. Parents and educators have found it particularly useful for tutoring younger students as it breaks down complex concepts into more digestible segments. One of the recurring themes in the feedback is the book's value for money, especially when compared to the high prices usually encountered for new textbooks at college bookstores. Several customers appreciated the good condition of the used copies they received, with some highlighting that the extras—including software disks—were still included and unopened. While there were some concerns regarding the physical condition of the cover in a few cases, the content quality remains highly regarded. However, potential buyers should note that the book does not come with the math lab access kit, which some users mentioned they had to purchase separately at a Considerable price. This detail appears to be a disappointment for some, but overall, the book itself is seen as an excellent resource for both high school and early college students looking to prepare for their academic journeys. **
