Creativity & Genius Editorial Review
Self-Scoring IQ Tests is a valuable tool for those seeking to understand their intellectual standing through a structured assessment process. This book consists of two tests with an equal distribution of fifty questions each, measuring various cognitive abilities including verbal and numerical skills. Users have reported a mix of satisfaction and critiques regarding the test's structure, particularly its bias toward verbal skills, where scores may not reflect a holistic view of intelligence as verbal answers dominate the scoring (three times more than other sections). Despite this, it serves as a useful baseline to compare one's intellectual capabilities with peers, especially for those unsure of their academic fit. The results can help foster self-awareness and spur further exploration into one's cognitive skills, although the reliability tends to decrease for extreme scores. A note of caution is advised against taking the results too seriously.
