Does anybody know if this is the size I would need for machine applique?
პასუხი: Use the size appropriate for fabric used. An 80/12 is standard for cotton and basic light to medium weight fabric. For heavier fabric such as denim, or for sewing multiple layers use 90/14. If you are appliqueing just two layers of quilting cotton, or the applique to a backing piece, the 80/12 would be more appropriate but a 90/14 wouldn't be too bad.This needle is super sharp, so a microtex 90/14 would not make as big of holes as a standard 90/12. I never even use standard needles any longer. -
