The Micro Mask is a water-based masking fluid that is used to mask areas prior to painting with water-based paints. It is not suitable for anodizing. The mask should be left to set for 5 to 10 minutes before painting. Users have found it effective for creating chipping effects, especially when used with certain paint types. It can be used on rifle scope glass and clear lexan bodies for RC cars, but caution should be taken with the heat gun as it may cause the mask to adhere more. The mask can be applied to painted areas and does not leave residue on previously painted areas. The masking solution is blue in color.
